Music Mates
Would you like to help cheer up patients in the Wards and Clinics?
Come and join us as a Music Mate!
Music Mates go round the wards and clinics, chatting with patients who often feel lonely or bored whilst in hospital. Some don’t get many visitors and really welcome seeing a friendly face at their bedside.
You’d tell patients about NFHR & talk to them about their favourite music, their families’ and friends’ music tastes, and encourage them to make requests, to be played out during our daily shows, which are broadcast live from our hospital Studio.
It needn’t be a big commitment: we have an on-line calendar, so you’d simply fill in the time slots that suit you – as few or as many as you want. You can even go round the wards with a friend – makes it more fun and you can chat to more patients!
And we’ll give you full training to get you going!
