| When I was 6,1 was given my first train set, this developed along with other interests, and in due course I started modelling railways, and am currently a member of the New Forest Model Railway Society. I also built model boats
and gliders using balsa wood and tissue paper. In my mid teens I became nterested in Radio, I built my own microphone amplifier from plans I saw in Practical Wireless magazine, and developed my own rather primitive Mixer
desk. I was married in 1967 to Barbara and we have 2 daughters, who both live locally, and 3 grandsons. After working for a well known group of Department stores both in Somerset and Warwickshire we moved to New Milton in 1976.1 worked for Wellworthys, until they closed, when I became self employed. Talking to a friend and his wife one Sunday, I said I would be interested in presenting a request show on Hospital Radio, she was a presenter and said she would put my name forward, that was in 2004. I now present a request show every other Monday, maybe I will have the pleasure of playing a request for you. Do you enjoy Brass Bands? I present a programme of Brass Bands every other Sunday between 7 and 8 p.m. when I spend a very enjoyable hour in the studio playing Brass Band music from both Military and Civilian Bands. I look forward to speaking to you soon. |
